IGDA May Meet Up Baton Rouge

PLEASE NOTE - This month's meeting will be on May 9th and NOT on the 1st Wednesday of the month as usual due to scheduling conflicts with another industry invent.

This month's presenter will be Derek Thomas of the Independent Gaming League out of New Orleans. He'll talk about their upcoming event the Nola Gaming Fest 2018, what they are doing for STEAM/STEM careers in the gaming industry in Louisiana, how they run their Esports operations, and what you can do to be a part of them. If you're in the competitive Esports scene in Louisiana then you've probably seen these guys around or know about their involvement with the competitive gaming communities. Don't miss an opportunity to learn more about how to get involved in the scene if you're interested!

As usual, we will also have food sponsored by the Louisiana Technology Park. Drinks and mingling start at 7pm on the Second Floor with the talk/demos starting around 7:45pm.
