Physics Puzzle Shooter

Louisiana State University

This is a final project submission for Introduction to Unreal. The student used color themes for each set of puzzles and only had the use of a gun and objects to figure out how to get to the end of each level. The trick in this type of game is to not have a situation where you are not able to complete the level or the puzzle becomes impossible to solve.

Given infinite issues that could arise due to the open nature of the gameplay - this was a very succesful implementation of a first person puzzle shooter. The student made good use of animated materials to indicate direction and flow so that it was crystal clear on where you needed to go and there was no elements of a maze.

The level design was quite clever and each of the six puzzles had a distinct and unique flavor to them. This was really fun to play and complete!
